Course Overview

With a shift to adult patient care, this semester develops core medical-surgical nursing competencies essential for managing common health conditions. Each procedure integrates underlying anatomy, required equipment, step-wise actions, and visual cues highlighting safety checks and clinical priorities.
This prepares learners to perform confidently in medical and surgical wards with precision and safety awareness.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course completion, learners will be able to:

  1. Perform essential medical-surgical nursing procedures under supervision.

  2. Apply medication safety principles during drug administration.

  3. Monitor and record patient responses to nursing interventions.
