Course Overview

The course on Safe Administration of Medications is designed to strengthen nurses’ competency in medication safety—a critical component of patient care. This course is designed to bring together the best practices recommended by INS, WHO, CDC to ensure accuracy at every step of medication handling and administration.

The content emphasizes internationally accepted safety practices, NABH-aligned standards, and real-world clinical scenarios. The learning experience follows a clear, clinical flow—how to verify orders correctly, calculate doses smoothly, prepare medications without error, use equipment appropriately, and observe patient responses with better clinical judgment.

Upon successful completion, participants receive the AHPI Certification in Safe Medication Practices & Drug Administration, demonstrating their commitment to quality, safety, and excellence in medication management.

Course objectives

1.      Strengthen hospital-wide medication safety systems by training nurses to follow evidence-based practices aligned with INS, WHO, CDC, and NABH guidelines.

2.      Reduce preventable medication errors and improve patient outcomes through accurate drug preparation, and safe administration techniques across all shifts.
